A wedding in Florence

Getting married in Florence is a dream even for Italians. Saying "I will" among statues of Michelangelo and Donatello and buildings and streets that were there a thousand of years ago must be an enchanting experience. It would give your "I will" a very eternal flair.
You can have the ceremony in the city of Florence, where Italian language was born, and you can plan your venue in the stunning countryside just a short drive from the city.
It'd be a dream come true and there're plenty of things to see and do in Tuscany. Why not planning a wedding weekend, to give you and your guests the chance to visit places you will never forget...
Here's a very sneak peak of a great wedding in Tuscany, more pics here and here.

Just a bite of this stunning Pienza cheese would be worth the trip!!

Italian taste for your wedding

Talking about outdoor weddings receptions with an Italian atmosphere, have a look at what I've found on one of my favourite wedding blog Elizabeth Anne Designs.
Isn't it lovely?!
With those rustic chairs, classic Italian bread and the white-red-and-green color palette, the one of our flag and of the best Italian ingredients: white flour for pasta and focaccia, red tomatoes and green basil for pesto.
Acutally the original post talks about French allure, but that's definitely an adorable Italian tablescape, you can trust me!

White and green garden wedding

A garden wedding with a white and green palette puts me definitely in a summer mood.
It's unconventional and fresh, it's full of fun and romantic, it's cool just like summer.
And it would be "at home" in the Italian countryside...maybe close to a romantic lake or to the sea, just to add some more charm!
Here are some lovely details I'd like to share with you!

Oh this bouquet!!

Dangling lanterns...just can't wait to see them lighten up...

Destination wedding inspiration

Happy Monday everyone!
Summer is definitely here: sunny days, HOT weather and great summer trips just around the corner.
Longing for my trip to Spain (1 month and a half to go....) today I'm inspired by this board made of old maps, vintage suitcases, poscards and handwritten letters.
I love its old fashioned charm and if you're planning a destination wedding I think that's an adorable inspiration for your save the dates and bridal shower as well.
Hope you love it as much as I do...do you?

Spero vi piaccia tanto quanto piace a me!

A wedding by the sea

Today is the first day of summer!!
And I'd like to celebrate with the a classic summer style wedding: a venue under the bluest of skies, by the most amazing of waters, gifted with the brightest of lights!
Here it is: a wedding on a gorgeous terrace overlooking the sea.
Don't you think it's amazing?
The lime-green and white color palette is a perfect choice for a fresh summer venue, not to mention those lovely paper lanterns and the athmosphere they can create...it looks like an Italian town fair! Love it!

Another country wedding on Tuscan hills

This week I'm definitely head over (Tuscan) hills for country style, en plein air wedding receptions.
Here's another wedding that would feel at home in Tuscany: rustic but sophisticated, and filled with all those little unexpected treasures you wouldn't expect (not so many, at least).
I love each and every detail of this wedding...and that table...oh that table setting is soo romantic.
Soft flowers on a wooden naked table. Strenght and gentleness melt together.
Isn't that the inner nature of marriage?

Burlap, succulents and flowers for one of the most delicate bouquet on earth.

Welcome!

Tomorrow I'm leaving for one of my best friends' wedding on a little island of Thailand.
He's going to get married on Friday on the beach with a Buddhist rith. I'm sooo happy and I just can't wait! I'll take my camera and post some pics when I come back.
Elena is going to post here on Crazy about weddings, I just can't wait to come back and read her posts.
Talk to you in a week, I think I'm going to miss your comments and this blog A LOT!

Country wedding on Tuscan hills

When I spotted this shooting on Ruffled, my mind immediately focused on Tuscan hills. Green meadows filled with daisies, poppies and sunflowers. Ancient oil mills in the middle of the countryside, yet a few miles away from Florence or Siena. Tuscan countryside is awesome to me and I think it's one of the most romantic place on earth if you're planning a wedding venue with a vintage countryside mood like this.

And here's a real wedding held in Tuscany from today's post of Laura of Tren di nozze.

Wedding in the Cinque Terre region

It's Friday!! I'm so excited, in a few hours I'll be leaving for Cinque Terre. I just can't wait and I want to share with you some pics of a great Villa in Liguria region. With its stunning panorama, seaside scents and Sevententh century elegance, it's an enchanting place to live a real Italian wedding.

Here's the Church next to the Villa, facing the sea on top of the steps

Have a lovely week-end!

An enchanted place on Lake Maggiore

This amazing Villa facing the wonderful Lake Maggiore, is where my friends of Ortensia Weddings created their latest great wedding for an English couple.
This is a place of stunning beauty and sheer Italian style.
I think it’s perfect if you are thinking of an elegant and formal wedding during the spring or in summer.
This is because you can have your reception in the gardens facing the lake.
And that’s something I’ll never forget, I’m pretty sure neither your guests will!
