the Cutest Boutonnière
DIY Bouttonière
I'd call this post Scent of a groom.
Have a look a this adorable bouttonière made of herbs and berries. It's so cute and it's so delicate with its slight herbal scent. It would be lovely for a late summer outdoor wedding and since it can be crafted by the bride herself, you have time to practice starting from...today.
(I'd need one or two months to craft it properly, but I'm a disaster in manual art, actually I'm sure you can make it in a week or two!)

Another country wedding on Tuscan hills
This week I'm definitely head over (Tuscan) hills for country style, en plein air wedding receptions.
Here's another wedding that would feel at home in Tuscany: rustic but sophisticated, and filled with all those little unexpected treasures you wouldn't expect (not so many, at least).
I love each and every detail of this wedding...and that table...oh that table setting is soo romantic.
Soft flowers on a wooden naked table. Strenght and gentleness melt together.

Via Style me pretty
Tomorrow I'm leaving for one of my best friends' wedding on a little island of Thailand.
He's going to get married on Friday on the beach with a Buddhist rith. I'm sooo happy and I just can't wait! I'll take my camera and post some pics when I come back.
Elena is going to post here on Crazy about weddings, I just can't wait to come back and read her posts.

The Tuxedo
The tuxedo (or smoking jacket) traditionally it is not ceremony wear but more party wear.
So, even though it wouldn't really be appropriate for a wedding, exceptions can be made for late ceremonies, and really elegant and sophisticated parties.
COLOUR: black - no to white tuxedos, please!
WHO: every guest has to wear it
ACCESSORIES: bow tie or slim black tie
NOT TO: To be avoided for morning ceremonies and very formal church functions.

3 Piece Suit
This is our second appoitment of the week dedicated to Grooms.
If the morning suit is not your thing, don't panic, another traditional and absolutely perfect choice is the 3 piece suit.
WHEN: anytime
WHO: Groom and father of the Bride (it doesn’t have to be the same colour or the same suit)
Groomsmen and father of the Groom can wear a 2 piece suit of a different shade.
WAISTCOAT: single breasted – traditionally of the same colour but this is changing
COLOURS: Dark grey – dark blue -Avoid shiny fabrics
Shirt: white (by exception ivory or light pale blue)
ACCESSORIES
Shoes – black leather polished oxford shoes.
Socks: Black silk or dark grey calf-length socks only
Tie: light colour grey for the ceremony - Our suggestion: you can change it later on in the day for a darker one

TIPS
HOW TO: never take the jacket off. If you really need to take it off, the waistcoat should at least remain on.
Last button of the waist coat should be open.
Only 2 cm of the shirt should be visible from the sleeve
LOGISTICS. ideal for a weddings abroad.

Hi Everyone, I hope you are enjoying Patrizia's posts as much as I do! As more and more Grooms are asking us to help them with their outfits, I deided to dedicate this week to Formal Men's Wear.
I have to say the more I look into it the more I find this universe fascinating...
I will start from one of the most traditioanl choice - The Morning suit
WHEN: traditionally used if the celebration has to take place before 12:00.
WAISTCOAT: can be single or double breasted (see picture above) dark or light colour
SHIRT: white traditional shirt or white wing collar shirt
WHO: When you decide to go for this type of outfit, the Groomsmen and the fathers has to wear one too.
ACCESSORIES
Shoes – black leather polished oxford shoes – always wear lace-up shoes
Socks: Black or dark grey silk calf-length socks only
Tie: a plain silk plastron/cravat or a tie. Whatever tie you go for has to be a plain light colour or jacquard.
If you are using a tie pin, wear a white wing collar shirt
Cufflinks and boutonnière (or Handkerchief - not both!)
Hat & Gloves
HOW TO: never open the jacket – never take it off
The best way to wear the hat is not to wear it: one glove should stay on the hand that holds the other glove and the hat.
Only 2 cm of the shirt should be visibl from the sleeve
LOGISTICS. For a wedding abroad. You can hire the ones for the groomsmen and have your one tailor-made.
MATCH THE BRIDE: ideal choice if the Bride has an important and or a very traditional dress.
