A wedding in Florence

Getting married in Florence is a dream even for Italians. Saying "I will" among statues of Michelangelo and Donatello and buildings and streets that were there a thousand of years ago must be an enchanting experience. It would give your "I will" a very eternal flair.
You can have the ceremony in the city of Florence, where Italian language was born, and you can plan your venue in the stunning countryside just a short drive from the city.
It'd be a dream come true and there're plenty of things to see and do in Tuscany. Why not planning a wedding weekend, to give you and your guests the chance to visit places you will never forget...
Here's a very sneak peak of a great wedding in Tuscany, more pics here and here.

Just a bite of this stunning Pienza cheese would be worth the trip!!

Lovely vintage Save the Date

Hello friends! Did you enjoy your weekend? Mine was lovely. We've been in Tuscan countryside to celebrate Giacomo's 4th birthday, Susanna, his mummy, was my maid of honour at our wedding and Matteo, his father, grew up with Alessandro, my husband!
We had a lot of fun having 5 little ones hanging around, jumping in the pool, receiving presents and staying up till late!!
That made me think of when I was a little girl and of all those vintage things I liked...(not that good thinking of me as "vintage"...) and I reminded of this save the date I spotted a few days ago on Ruffled.
It's a very simple DIY save the date and it's perfect if you're thinking of a destination wedding. All you need is a customized stamp and vintage postcards of your destination (it's very easy to find and buy vintage postcards on line).

Here's a very very sneak peek of Italian vintage postcards...

Destination Wedding - Wish you were here chart

I'm here for a short post, but I can't stay away from my blog...!
I want to share thise adorable thing: if you're planning a destination wedding you should take into account that some of your dear friends and relatives might not be able to reach you.
Here's a lovely little thing just to let them know you care, a Wish-you-were-here chart.
Don't you think it's one of the sweetest ideas ever?

Destination wedding details: Find your match

Here I am, back again! I'm really sorry for my on-and-off behaviour these past days. I hope I can be here every day soon!!
Talking about here and there. Here's a destination wedding whose details percectly match.

Here they are in a breathtaking location...Iceland! WOW!

I like the idea of a map as a save the date. It's a simple idea and I think maps have that romantic touch that's perfect for a wedding invitation.

Actually I loooove antique, dusty maps. I'd definitely go for an antique map if I had to choose for a destination wedding save the date, but this one here is very nice and I love the tips in the inside!

And the best for last: the tags...

The "Find your match" sitting chart it's made of a vintage suitcase with amazing tags! Each and every tag is a little masterpiece of artscraft: wood scrumble to create sweet words for your guests, precious wine corks, knots (!!), little skeleton keys to happiness..oh sooo lovely!

I'd even love to have them as favors!

I just can't wait to have a party so that I can craft a few tags like these!

Idee cercasi please.

White and green garden wedding

A garden wedding with a white and green palette puts me definitely in a summer mood.
It's unconventional and fresh, it's full of fun and romantic, it's cool just like summer.
And it would be "at home" in the Italian countryside...maybe close to a romantic lake or to the sea, just to add some more charm!
Here are some lovely details I'd like to share with you!

Oh this bouquet!!

Dangling lanterns...just can't wait to see them lighten up...

Destination wedding inspiration

Happy Monday everyone!
Summer is definitely here: sunny days, HOT weather and great summer trips just around the corner.
Longing for my trip to Spain (1 month and a half to go....) today I'm inspired by this board made of old maps, vintage suitcases, poscards and handwritten letters.
I love its old fashioned charm and if you're planning a destination wedding I think that's an adorable inspiration for your save the dates and bridal shower as well.
Hope you love it as much as I do...do you?

Spero vi piaccia tanto quanto piace a me!
