Bubbles at your wedding

Hey girls, ready to stare in front of a couple of pics that will take your breath away?!
Here they are, took by the super talented Carla Ten Eyck.
I definitely adore the idea of having bubbles floating around when the bride and groom walk back the aisle, but these giant bubbles are a world apart! They can create a photo setting that's magic!
Of course you will need a professional bubbler (does this word exist?!) and I bet finding one won't be easy, but I'm sure what you'll get it's totally worth an extra effort and another addiction to your budget...

Oggi ho tovato una chicca speciale...qui sopra ci sono un paio di foto così magiche che potrebbero farvi sognare per tutto il weekend! Io ho già iniziato quando le ho trovate ieri sera...

Le ha scattate una fotografa americana dalla faccia tonda e simpatica e con un gran talento, Carla Ten Eyck, ma ci sono fotografi bravissimi anche qui da noi che potrebbero creare immagini incantate con questo scenario (io ho in mente già un paio di nomi).

Comunque, cosa ne dite delle bolle di sapone?! Ma non di quelle piccole, che sono una cosina graziosissima, qui stiamo parlando di bolle con la B maiuscola, che diventano un vero e proprio tema delle foto e perchè no, magari di tutto il matrimonio.

Io penso che siano magiche! Certo, occorre trovare un bollista (!?) e scommetto che la cosa non sarà facile. E sì, ci sarà anche un extra budget...ma non ne vale la pena?!?

Hi there, I'm back! It's been a great short vacation. We've been sailing the north coast of Sardinia with 2 friends of ours. We had crystal clear water, amazing food, great wine and...wake ups made of a jump into the sea. I loved it!
Talking about things I love...here's a couple I definitely heart: anomenes and buttercups. They match so well. Their pastel shades are so romantic, yet the dark center of anemones gives a great personality to bouquets and centerpieces.

Eccomi di ritorno dal nostro breve giretto in barca in Sardegna. E' stato grandioso! Insieme a due nostri amici abbiamo navigato per la costa nord e ci siamo regalati qualche giorno fatto solo di acqua cristallina, cibo grandioso e vino anche migliore...e poi alzarsi a gettarsi subito in mare per svegliarsi è una cosa che adoro sempre!

Parlando di cose che mi piacciono proprio tanto eccone un paio: anemoni e ranuncoli.

Messi insieme stanno davvero bene, sono molto romantici con le loro sfumature delicate, ma allo stesso tempo quel centro nero degli anemoni rende al tutto una bella personalità forte, mai banale.

Sì, mi piacciono davvero molto questi due insieme!

Well, as my first Theme Wedding post I thought of something I would have loved if I had to choose for my wedding: books! I've been working for a publishing house for 6 years and I "literally" adore books!
Here are a couple of different ways to have a Book themed wedding: a very sophisticated and elegant way; and a colorful, playful and funny way.
Hope you enjoy them, there're many lovely ideas to be inspired by.

Eccoci qui ragazze (e ragazzi!!) con il post sui matrimoni a tema che avete votato su Facebook. Grazie!!

Essendo il mio primo post di questo tipo, ho pensato a quale tema avrei potuto scegliere per il mio matrimonio; e non ho avuto dubbi: i libri. Ho lavorato per 6 anni in una casa editrice dove praticamente ho respirato, mangiato, sognato libri dalla mattina alla sera. Ed è stato un periodo bellissimo!

Così ho trovato un paio di modi differenti di creare un matrimonio a tema "libro": uno più sofisticato ed elegante, forse più adatto ai matrimoni italiani, e un altro più gioioso, informale, colorato e divertente.

Spero vi piacciano e vi ispirino!

Non traduco le didascalie, tanto so che non ne avete bisogno, ma vi anticipo che ho già pronto un altro post sui matrimoni a tema dedicato a un tema decisamente italiano...

Ripassate da queste parti, io sono qui che vi aspetto!!

Threehouse wedding - A tale

Once upon a time there was an enchanted forest where a lovely girl and a great boy started their family.

She was so incredibly happy and it showed. She looked beautiful in her wedding gown and with a golden old fashioned flower in her hair.

She had a great idea and kept their wedding rings in tiny bottles like precious potions for happiness.

She met her prince in a path of the forest and, together with a friend playing a guitar, they walked the aisle. Her dress was stunningly beautiful and music announced their arrival through ancient trees, down hills and up above.

The ceremony was simple and intimate. They were with family and a few friends and you can tell that a miracle was going on in the hidden forest. Two becoming one.

After the ceremony the bride, groom and their guests went to the reception in a wooden house in the forest. Wild flowers, wood and moss looked great on tables and all around the place.

After dinner the bride and her groom went for a walk in their enchanted forest to look for a treehouse where they would set their home.
They stop under a tree they liked...

...looked above their heads. And they found their home.

They lived there happily ever after.

C'era una volta una foresta incantata dove una ragazza adorabile e il suo fantastico fidanzato avevano deciso di sposarsi.

Il giorno del matrimonio, mentre si preparava, la ragazza era così felice che era ancora più carina.

Si preparò con calma, indossò il suo meraviglioso abito da sposa e lo arricchì con un fiore dorato tra i capelli.

Aveva avuto l'originale idea di custodire gli anelli nuziali in piccole ampolle, come se fossero le preziose pozioni della felicità.

Incontrò il suo sposo in un sentiero della foresta e, insieme ad un amico che suonava la chitarra, camminarono fino all'altare accompagnati dalle note che si diffondevano tra gli alberi secolari, giù per le colline e in alto nel cielo.

Fu una cerimonia semplice e intima, con parenti e qualche amico. Ma, sbirciando tra i rami della foresta, si poteva intuire che lì stava accadendo un miracolo. Due persone stavano diventando una cosa sola.

Dopo la cerimonia tutti andarono nella casetta di legno dove li aspettava la festa.

Fiori selvatici, legno e muschio decoravano la stanza e tutti gli ospiti rimasero a bocca aperta.

In un momento di tranquillità gli sposi lasciarono i loro ospiti e si incamminarono per la foresta per cercare la casa dove avrebbero costruito la loro famiglia. Si fermarono sotto un albero che sembrava loro robusto e accogliente, illuminato da una luce fatata. Guardarono in alto e videro la casa che sarebbe diventata la loro. Salirono e decisero che la loro famiglia sarebbe cresciuta lì.

E vissero felici e contenti.

Flower Trend - Paper flower wedding

I missed my post yesterday and it was Flower Trend day, so here I am one day late. BUT I have a lovely wedding shoot to share.
A bouquet made of paper flowers, but also a boutonniere, a sitting chart, dangling decorations and a cake topper made of it.
They're sooo cute, not to mention that you can have a bouquet that lasts forever!
Have a look and if you can't help but having real flowers at your wedding (me too....) that's a great idea for a delicious bridal shower or even for your bridesmaids bouquets!

Ieri ho saltato l'appuntamento Flower Trend, ma rimedio oggi con un'idea deliziosa che ho trovato su Style me pretty. E se il bouquet della sposa fosse fatto di meravigliosi fiorellini di carta coloratissimi?! Così come la bottoniera dello sposo, i cartellini del tableau marriage, tutte le decorazioni e anche il topper della torta. A me piace tantissimo l'idea e si potrebbe giocare su questo tema con ogni dettaglio della festa, dall'invito alle bomboniere, magari si potrebbe pensare anche a delle pochette di carta per le giacche di tutti gli uomini del matrimonio.

...E se proprio non riuscite a fare a meno dei fiori veri (io non ce la farei, lo ammetto) il bouquet di fiori di carta, e tutte le sue declinazioni, potrebbe essere il protagonista del vostro bridal shower (diciamolo chiamarlo Addio al nubilato lo rende davvero brutto!) oppure ancora potrebbe essere il bouquet delle vostre damigelle al matrimonio. Vi piace?

Destination Wedding - Wish you were here chart

I'm here for a short post, but I can't stay away from my blog...!
I want to share thise adorable thing: if you're planning a destination wedding you should take into account that some of your dear friends and relatives might not be able to reach you.

Eccomi qui anche oggi, in ritardissimo e di corsa ma non riesco a star lontata!
Volevo farvi vedere questa cosa carinissima e dolcissima. Ad ogni matrimonio purtroppo manca qualcuno che avreste proprio voluto con voi quel giorno. Se poi si parla di destination wedding molto probabilmente qualcuno di caro non ci sarà.
Ecco un modo dolcissimo per avere comunque con voi i vostri amici e parenti lontani. Una sorta di tableau ma fatto con le foto di chi non c'è...così sarete comunque insieme. Un tableau "Come se fossi qui!".

Destination wedding details: Find your match

Here I am, back again! I'm really sorry for my on-and-off behaviour these past days. I hope I can be here every day soon!!
Talking about here and there. Here's a destination wedding whose details percectly match.

Here they are in a breathtaking location...Iceland! WOW!

I like the idea of a map as a save the date. It's a simple idea and I think maps have that romantic touch that's perfect for a wedding invitation.

Actually I loooove antique, dusty maps. I'd definitely go for an antique map if I had to choose for a destination wedding save the date, but this one here is very nice and I love the tips in the inside!

And the best for last: the tags...

The "Find your match" sitting chart it's made of a vintage suitcase with amazing tags! Each and every tag is a little masterpiece of artscraft: wood scrumble to create sweet words for your guests, precious wine corks, knots (!!), little skeleton keys to happiness..oh sooo lovely!

I'd even love to have them as favors!

Eccomi qui di nuovo! Mi scuso davvero per esserci solo a giorni alterni, ma purtroppo non riesco a fare altrimenti. Spero di tornare presto a scrivere tutti i giorni, mi manca il mio blog!!

A proposito di essere lontano...ho trovato un destination wedding con un paio di dettagli davvero carini. O meglio uno è carino, l'altro è meraviglioso!

Gli sposi hanno scelto l'Islanda...e questa, che non è un dettaglio, è già una scelta grandiosa (non ci sono mai stata ma è sulla Lista!).

Il dettaglio carino è l'invito fatto a mappa. Le mappe mi piacciono perchè trovo che abbiano un'anima romantica perfetta per un matrimonio. Io userei delle mappe antiche, ingiallite e polverose, ma anche quella scelta dagli sposi, pulita e moderna non è male e poi mi piace molto come hanno organizzato le notizie utili per gli ospiti.

Il dettaglio merviglia invece è la sitting chart. E ancora di più i suoi cartellini. Sono davvero stupendi: semplicissimi e forse anche per questo fatti a regola d'arte. Parole importanti fatte con i tasselli di legno dello Scarabeo, tappi di sughero di buon vino, nodi e piccole chiavi per la felicità...

Io userei l'idea anche per le bomoniere!

Voi cosa ne fareste? Ma soprattutto, quali altri oggetti usereste?
